Basketball Introduction to the Addition of Positive and Negative Integers

The PARENTHESIS SIGN( ) is put around a number to separate the POSITIVE SIGN from the

NEGATIVE SIGN. Example: 6 + (-) 3.

When the PLAYER(s) is dribbling TOWARD the Basket (POSITIVE SIGN (+))and they meet

another PLAYER(s) dribbling AWAY from the Basket (NEGATIVE SIGN (-)), those dribbling

AWAY from the Basket will turn around and Guard PLAYERS dribbling TOWARD the Basket.

We want to see how many PLAYERS are left Unguarded dribbling AWAY from the Basket

or TOWARD the Basket.
