Cars and Trucks Introduction to the Multiplication of Positive and Negative Integers

1.

When 2 POSITIVE INTEGERS are multiplied together, the answer is the same as you would get in doing non- algebra math.

Example: (4) X (2) = POSITIVE 8

Example: (3) X (5) = POSITIVE 15

The parenthesis sign ( ) creates a force field around the number and a NEGATIVE SIGN inside a parenthesis creates a powerful NEGATIVE force field. This NEGATIVE force field is more powerful than a POSITIVE force field .

When 2 force fields are next to each other we multiply the numbers.

Example: (6) (3) = 18 Example: (2) (8) = 16

When a NEGATIVE force field is next to a POSITIVE force field we multiply the numbers, but the powerful NEGATIVE force field will absorb the POSITIVE force field.

Example: (2) x (-3) = (- 6) because the powerful NEGATIVE force field absorbs the POSITIVE force field and they both are pulled into the NEGATIVE force field.

Example: (4) X (- 5) = (-20) because the powerful NEGATIVE force field absorbs the POSITIVE force field and they both are pulled into the NEGATIVE force field.
