Knights Introduction to the Division of Negative Integers

1.

Division of 2 NEGATIVE integers has the same rules as Multiplication of 2 NEGATIVE integers.

The only difference is in Division problems we are only trying to figure out HOW MANY

HORSES WE HAVE IN EACH GROUP.

When 2 NEGATIVE SIGNS (NEGATIVE FORCE FIELDS) are under each other , the numbers are

divided and the bottom NEGATIVE SIGN is turned upright and we call it a CHANGING SIGN and

the 2 signs are rearranged to form a POSITIVE SIGN (+). The bottom NEGATIVE SIGN is turned

to look like this | called a CHANGING SIGN. With the second NEGATIVE SIGN it makes a + sign.

Example:    - 6 / - 2  =  POSITIVE    3             Example:  - 10 / - 5   =  POSITIVE   2

Example:  - 16 / - 4   =   POSITIVE   4
