Soccer Introduction to the Addition of Positive and Negative Integers

The PARENTHESIS SIGN( ) is put around a number to separate the

POSITIVE SIGN from the NEGATIVE SIGN. Example: 6 + (-) 3.

When the SOCCER PLAYER(s) is running TOWARD the Goal, a

(POSITIVE SIGN (+)), and they meet another PLAYER(s)

running AWAY from the Goal a (NEGATIVE SIGN (-)), those

running AWAY from the Goal will turn around and Defend

SOCCER PLAYERS running TOWARD the Goal. We want to

see how many SOCCER PLAYERS who are either not being defended

or are running AWAY from the Goal.
